A Healing Post About Inner Stillness, Maturity, and Sacred Survival
“That storm is theirs. My waters remain still.”This is what healing teaches you—not all at once, but over time.
Not through words, but through experience.
It took me years to understand what the elders meant when they said:
“Still waters run deep.”
I used to think it meant quiet people were hiding something.
Or that being calm meant being passive.
But now?
Now, I understand the power of stillness.
Not the silence of defeat. But the stillness that comes from wisdom.
The stillness that comes from knowing exactly who you are—and what you will no longer give your energy to.
🌿 The Younger Me Didn’t Know This
We get pulled into every storm.
Every argument. Every injustice. Every room where someone tried to distort the truth.
We think we have to explain ourselves.
We think that we have to fix it.Â
We think that we have to fight every time there is a perceived misunderstanding.
But as the years passed, some of us see something clearer than ever:
Not every storm deserves your presence.
Not every fire needs your water.
Not every disruption requires your peace.
🌬️ Now I Understand:
People who run from stillness often create storms.
Because being still means they’d have to hear the truth in their own heart.
Because being still means sitting with the consequences of their choices.
Because being still means no more distractions.
But those of us who learn to embrace stillness?
We build something stronger than defense:
We build depth. We build discernment. We build peace.
🕊️ Affirmation:
“I no longer chase chaos or explain myself to storms.
My stillness is sacred.
My depth is not for everyone to understand.
Still waters run deep—and so do I.”
✨ A Word to the Survivor Learning Stillness
You don’t have to prove your peace.
You don’t have to raise your voice to protect your worth.
The more you choose stillness, the more your soul will speak.
And the less power chaos will have over you.
Stay rooted.
Stay deep.
Let the storm pass. You don’t belong to it.
