Dear Survivor,

They’ll say you’re too loud.
Too proud.
Too bright.
Too deep.
Too spiritual.
Too intense.
Too sensitive.
Too everything.

But here’s the truth:
You are not too much.
They’re just not ready for someone who loves themselves without permission.
Someone who doesn’t wait for a committee to vote on their worth.
Someone who rises even when no one is clapping.

Your fullness—your radiant, soulful, overflowing presence—makes people confront their own emptiness.
Your healing makes them aware of the parts of themselves they’ve abandoned.
Your joy reminds them of what they told themselves they didn’t deserve.

That discomfort they feel?
That’s not your problem.
It’s their unhealed story trying to speak over your testimony.

Don’t you dare shrink.
Don’t fold yourself into a smaller shape to soothe someone else’s fragile ego.
Don’t dim your shine to make bitter people comfortable in the shadows.

Live in your fullness.
Laugh out loud.
Take up space.
Say what needs to be said.
Wear what makes you feel like art.
Celebrate who you are like it’s holy—because it is.

Your existence in joy is a protest.
Your smile is a revolution.
Your peace is sacred ground.
And baby, your power? Unapologetic.

Keep being too bright.
Keep being too bold.
Keep being too you.

Because you are the light they wish they hadn’t tried to snuff out.

With love,
