Now, wait a minute. Did y’all know Gabourey Sidibe could dance like THAT?

Because I knew she was a talented actress. I knew she was beautiful, funny, and had personality for days. But watching her come through Jennifer Hudson’s famous Spirit Tunnel? What a treat!

Gabourey appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show on October 28, 2026, and gave us one of my favorite Spirit Tunnel entrances yet.

And judging by the reactions online, I am far from alone.

People are praising her dancing, her confidence, her outfit, and the sheer fun of watching her. I saw the video and immediately understood why people were sharing it.

Sometimes you see somebody enjoying herself so much that you start smiling before you even realize you’re smiling.

Gabourey Came Through That Tunnel Dancing!

First of all, she looked gorgeous. The Lady in red. Gabourey wore a fabulous red fringe dress that moved right along with her. And she didn’t just walk through the tunnel waving at everybody.

She got down.

Now, Jennifer Hudson’s Spirit Tunnel has given us some wonderful entrances. It’s become one of those little corners of the internet where people can enjoy music, dancing, laughter, and a celebrity having fun.

It’s not a competition, and it doesn’t need to be.

But Gabourey? She’s certainly going on my list of favorites.

And Can We Talk About Her Confidence?

One of the things I’ve always appreciated about Gabourey Sidibe is her personality.

She’s funny. She’s expressive. She has a wonderful sense of humor about herself.

During her conversation with Jennifer Hudson, Gabourey also talked about her recent viral fashion moments and the fun she has posing for photographs. She credited stylist Kelly Augustine for helping her express herself through fashion.

I love that she seems to enjoy being playful. And that’s what I noticed in the Spirit Tunnel. She wasn’t giving us a speech about confidence. She was enjoying herself, and we got to enjoy watching her.

There is something refreshing about that.

We hear so much about what women should improve, overcome, correct, or change. Sometimes it’s lovely to watch a woman who is simply having a good time being herself.

No big explanation necessary.

The Internet Is Enjoying Gabourey, Too

The response to her appearance has been delightful. People have been celebrating her beauty, her dancing, and her personality. Some are calling it one of the best Spirit Tunnel entrances they’ve seen.

And I understand completely.

Gabourey has given audiences memorable performances throughout her acting career, beginning with her extraordinary breakout role in Precious. She’s shown her range in comedy, drama, and television.

But this little dancing moment gave us something different to enjoy. We got to see her having fun.

There’s a particular pleasure in watching a performer surprise you with another talent. You think you know what someone brings to the table, and then here she comes with a whole dance routine!

Well, alright then, Gabby!

Sometimes We Can Just Enjoy a Woman Being Fabulous

I don’t want to turn this into a complicated lesson about confidence or body image.

Gabourey doesn’t have to represent anybody’s personal journey to be worthy of celebration. She doesn’t have to overcome something in front of us to make her happiness meaningful.

She looked beautiful. She danced beautifully. She made people smile. That’s plenty.

And I think we need more room for these kinds of moments, especially when so much of what travels across our screens is upsetting, frightening, or exhausting.

There are still wonderful things happening. People are still laughing, dancing, creating, and giving us reasons to enjoy being alive.

Sometimes a little joy finds you in the middle of an ordinary day.

This time, it came wearing a red fringe dress and dancing through Jennifer Hudson’s hallway.

Gabourey, thank you for the smiles. That was a joy to watch!

And if you haven’t seen her Spirit Tunnel entrance yet, please do yourself a favor and look it up. You might find yourself watching it more than once.

I certainly wouldn’t blame you.
