Have you ever thought about where trauma and stress are locked in your body? How it impacts your body?
Have you ever thought about where trauma and stress are locked in your body? How it impacts your body?
For so long Western society has focused on body size and volume. I'm excited to see us moving towards healthy body function, healthy body movement, and destressing our bodies. I think the Survivor community has known for a long time that stress and trauma impede good health.
We are the ones with the chronic:
- migraines
- widespread chronic pain/fibromyalgia
- autoimmune disorders
- acquired physical disability
- endometriosis/adenomyosis/fibroids
- back & hip pain
We did not need medical degrees to know that "something" is going on. We may not have nursing or medical degrees but many of us have accrued years of emergency room visits and disappointing doctor visits (it must be in your head.
It is in our heads yes....AND impacting our entire bodies.
Too little listening
Too few answers.
All that to say, I'm grateful for change, growth, and healing that benefits Survivors.
