Rainbow grounding is a tool that can be used to bring calm and clarity to chaotic moments. 

Step-by-Step Guide to Rainbow Grounding

Find a Comfortable Space:

Start by sitting or standing in a comfortable place where you can observe your surroundings without interruptions.


Take Deep Breaths:

Begin with a few deep breaths to help settle your mind and body. Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.


Identify Red Objects:

Look around and find one object that is red. Take a moment to focus on it, noting its details such as shape, texture, and size.


Identify Orange Objects:

Next, find an object that is orange. Again, observe it carefully and take in its characteristics.


Identify Yellow Objects:

Look for something yellow in your environment. Spend a few seconds focusing solely on this object.


Identify Green Objects:

Find a green object and examine it closely. Notice how the color makes you feel and any thoughts it brings up.


Identify Blue Objects:

Seek out a blue object. Concentrate on its appearance and let your mind engage with the color.


Identify Indigo Objects:

Locate something indigo. This might be more challenging, but even a hint of indigo will work. Focus your attention on it.


Identify Violet Objects:

Finally, find a violet object and spend a few moments observing it. Let the color’s calming influence wash over you.


Reflect and Breathe:

After identifying all the colors, take a few more deep breaths. Reflect on how you feel now compared to when you started. Notice any changes in your level of anxiety or clarity.
